Meet the Daddy and the Mommy of our wonderful litter of Bordernese puppies -

3/4 Bernese, 1/4 Border Collie. Both Cassie and Taran are a part of our family - hard workers, spoiled rotten, loved by children and adults, fed ground beef, and played with all the time. This is the second and last time we will be breeding Cassie, since she is our cherished girl and scheduled to be spayed in March. Most of the puppies from Cassie's first breeding stayed in our extended family. You can check some of them out here. They are beautiful! This second breeding was not planned, but we know the babies will be just as fantastic as their siblings.

We love the intelligence of the Border Collie, but since we are only working a small farm and we have two young kids around the house we wanted the temperament of the Bernese Mountain Dog. Honestly, when you combine the two breeds you get the absolute best of both worlds. The unconditional love of the Bernese with the intelligence of a Collie. This hybrid breed makes the ultimate family member, who will not only give you lots of love but will also learn chores and help you out when you need it. You couldn't ask for a better dog!!

Taran will be trained next year (when he is more fully developed) to help us haul manure from the barns to the compost piles.

Most importantly, though, he is a sweet teddy bear who can win the heart of even the biggest grumps. Although he weighs over 100 lbs. he just wants to sit on your lap and be loved. You just can't be in bad mood when he is around. One look into his sweet, adoring eyes and the world is just a better place.

Cassie is an integral part of our family and farm life and is our helping hand when the goat kids get loose and the coyotes are out at night. However, more important to her is her unbelievable ability to catch a frisbee. She plays every morning and lets me know if I have the nerve to skip a day! She will start learning to run an agility course this summer (once she has weaned her pups), to keep her entertained when the goat kids are being extra good.

I can't even express how much love Cassie has to give everyone in the family. Everyone that meets her falls instantly in love. She is my sweetheart and I bred her so I can share her inner and outer beauty with my extended family.
